Beijing, 21 August (Petra)– His Majesty King Abdullah II held a meeting in Beijing on Friday with representatives of leading Chinese companies operating in sectors of priority to the Jordanian economy.
His Majesty emphasised the importance of building partnerships and exchanging expertise with these companies, which represent the energy, minerals, fertilisers, food and advanced manufacturing sectors.
During the meeting, His Majesty highlighted the opportunities offered by the Jordanian market to companies, as well as the potential to expand their operations and strengthen their presence in Jordan and the region, particularly in high-value-added sectors and manufacturing industries.
For their part, representatives of the Chinese companies expressed interest in exploring opportunities for cooperation with Jordan in a manner aligned with the strategic objectives of the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Director of the Royal Office Engineer Alaa Al-Batayneh; Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Engineer Yarub Al-Qudah; Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh; Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Engineer Sami Smirat; Jordan’s Ambassador to China Hossam Al-Husseini; and China’s Ambassador to Jordan Guo Wei.
