Beijing – H.E. Dr. Tareq Abu Ghazaleh, Minister of Investment, participated in the opening of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), held in the Chinese capital, Beijing. The event is organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), with broad participation from senior officials, business leaders, and global economic institutions.
Dr. Abu Ghazaleh attended the exhibition as a guest of honor. The expo is regarded as one of the world’s leading platforms specializing in supply chains, trade, and investment. His participation comes as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen Jordan’s presence on the global investment map and expand its international economic partnerships.
The exhibition brings together thousands of participants from around the world, providing a platform for economic dialogue, partnership-building, and the exploration of investment opportunities, in addition to addressing the future of global supply chains and the associated challenges and opportunities.
Dr. Abu Ghazaleh also commenced an investment promotion tour in Beijing, which includes a series of meetings and engagements with economic institutions, companies, and investors. The tour aims to showcase the investment opportunities available in the Kingdom and highlight Jordan’s competitive advantages as a regional hub for business and investment, as well as a gateway to regional and international markets.
He held an expanded meeting with representatives of Chinese companies and economic institutions during a roundtable organized by the China Overseas Development Association (CODA), in cooperation with the Embassy of Jordan in Beijing. The meeting was attended by Jordan’s Ambassador to China, H.E. Hossam Al-Husseini, along with a number of investors and representatives of Chinese companies interested in international expansion and investment.
During these meetings, Dr. Abu Ghazaleh reviewed the promising investment opportunities offered by the Kingdom, recent developments in the investment environment, and the incentives and competitive advantages provided to investors. He also highlighted strategic projects in the sectors of transport, logistics, energy, water, industry, agriculture, and technology, including land, air, and railway transport projects.
The meetings also included discussions on opportunities for cooperation in renewable energy, supply chains, smart logistics, and advanced industries.
The Minister of Investment also participated in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei Supply Chain Promotion Conference, where he presented key investment opportunities in the Kingdom and the strategic projects being implemented by the government in partnership with the private sector. He emphasized Jordan’s commitment to attracting high-quality investments that contribute to technology transfer, job creation, and sustainable economic growth.
Dr. Abu Ghazaleh affirmed that Jordan views China as a strategic economic and investment partner, highlighting the importance of leveraging international economic and investment events to strengthen economic cooperation and attract high-quality investments.
He noted that, in recent years, the Kingdom has implemented a comprehensive package of legislative and procedural reforms that have enhanced investment services, improved the business environment, and strengthened Jordan’s competitiveness as a regional and global investment destination—providing investors with a more efficient, flexible, and stable environment.
He added that Jordan offers multiple competitive advantages to investors, including a strategic location connecting regional markets, advanced infrastructure, and political and economic stability, in addition to an extensive network of free trade agreements that provide access to broad global markets.
The Minister’s tour in China will continue in the coming days and will include meetings with a number of major Chinese economic institutions and companies operating in the sectors of transport, logistics, energy, industry, agriculture, and technology, as part of the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen economic partnerships and attract more high-quality investments to the Kingdom.
